Many of our attorney clients retain us as consultants, who may or may not be called upon to testify.  As consultants, we often assist with trial strategy, help develop direct testimony or cross-examination questions for the testifying experts, and address unexpected issues that arise during litigation.  Our team includes valuation consultants who are well-qualified to perform these services, often when the testifying expert is also from IRR.

In addition to forming opinions as part of our own analysis, we are frequently asked to review the work of other appraisers.  This allows us to comment positively on well-prepared appraisal reports or, to the extent that errors and faulty methodology are found, to identify the shortcomings and explain the consequences of the errors.  This sometimes includes “Standard of Care” issues.  We can provide rebuttal testimony in these instances.
