1. Real Estate Bisnow San Francisco: San Francisco director Michelle van de Pol explained why military veterans, like recent hire Steve Soder, are a good fit for real estate appraisal and why she decided to take advantage of the Veteran Affair’s On-the-Job Training and Apprenticeship program.
2. CayCompass.com: In an interview with CayCompass.com, Caribbean managing director Jim Andrew pointed to 2012’s 3.7% increase in stay-over arrivals as one sign that tourism and the Caribbean economy are improving again.
3. Richmond Times Dispatch: Developer Lloyd Poe cited a rise in new-home closings from figures provided by Integra’s Richmond office during a seminar on the housing market recovery in Richmond and the surrounding area.
4. South Florida Business Journal: Reporter Oscar Pedro Musibay used Integra’s 2013 Viewpoint Miami statistics for a story on which commercial real estate markets are the best for investment in south Florida. IRR forecasts a 7% increase in industrial property values, and a 4% increase for the office market.
5. The Record/NorthJersey.com: North Jersey director John Gillooly provided insights into typical weekend hotel occupancy rates for the area surrounding MetLife Stadium compared to the weekend of Super Bowl XLVIII next year.
