Sep 12, 2013
August proved to be another busy month for Integra, from a prominent staffing appointment, to our Mid-Year Viewpoint presentation with Real Capital Analytics, to our experts sharing insights on everything from Caribbean resort construction to Frannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Here are some of the stories that we were published in August:
Commercial Property Executive: Commercial Property Executive ran a story on John Albrecht’s appointment as CEO, touting his more than 20 years of experience as an asset that will help him accelerate the growth of Integra’s footprint. New York Real Estate Journal also featured John’s appointment in its August issue.
NJ.com/The Star-Ledger: Tom De Poto at The Star-Ledger interviewed Matt Krauser, Senior Director of Integra Realty Resources’ Northern New Jersey/New York office, for his thoughts on the future of the housing market without Frannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Matt suggested that private capital might supplement the potential deficit, noting that pension funds and life insurance companies might turn to the housing market as a good investment strategy.
Construction Today: Jim Andrews, Senior Managing Director of IRR’s Caribbean office, authored a byline about the Caribbean construction market. In the article, Jim briefed readers on Caribbean resort construction trends, specifically reconciling cost, profit, and value for resort owners and developers. Check out his article for an in-depth analysis of the region’s connection between consumer goods and construction costs, planning density, energy efficiency, local materials, brands, and residential products.
Real Estate Bisnow: After attending the Integra 2013 Mid-Year Viewpoint presentation held in New York City this past August, Real Estate Bisnow’s Amanda Marsh summarized the findings and trends, with topics including more active private owners and 1031 buyers, potential REIT IPOs, a record level of private fundraising, and an increase in capital from Asia.
