The Mississippi commercial real estate market has long been underserved, leaving many market participants without a trusted and expert valuation and consulting resource. To bridge this gap, Integra Realty Resources (IRR) has just opened a new Jackson, Miss. office to bring both local expertise and national resources to the state. We’re the first national appraisal and counseling company to open an office in Mississippi, and our new location will cover all commercial property types including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, and other properties.
While a number of smaller appraisal firms exist in the state, none has the deep resources at their disposal to handle larger property portfolios, specialty property types, and a complete array of commercial real estate counseling services.
Senior Managing Director Walter Allen, MAI, FRICS, and Directors Michelle Alexander, MAI, MRICS, and John Praytor will spearhead the Jackson office. Praytor in particular has more than 25 years of appraisal experience, and has served clients in the greater Jackson metro area for a decade.

Integra Realty Resources Enters Mississippi with New Jackson Office
IRR continues strategic expansion throughout the United States
JACKSON, Miss. — November 4, 2013 — Integra Realty Resources (IRR), the largest independent commercial real estate (CRE) valuation and consulting firm in North America, today continued its strategic expansion with the opening of its first Mississippi office, its 25th in the southeastern U.S., and the first dedicated practice of its kind in Mississippi. IRR Senior Managing Director J. Walter Allen, MAI, FRICS, along with Directors Michelle Alexander, MAI, MRICS, and John Praytor, will lead the office of seven professionals who have commenced operations at 200 Trace Colony Park Drive, Suite B, in Ridgeland.

We have deep expertise in the complexities of commercial real estate, and have both the local and national resources to appraise properties throughout Mississippi and across the nation.”
This new, full-service office will provide appraisal and consulting services for office, industrial, retail, and multifamily commercial properties, and vacant land, as well as hospitality and special use properties. IRR’s clients use the company’s services for lending purposes, financial reporting, litigation support, eminent domain acquisitions, insurance, and market feasibility studies, among other areas of focus.
John Praytor has more than 25 years of experience as an appraiser and a decade of experience in the greater Jackson, Mississippi region. Prior to joining IRR he was founder and owner of Praytor Appraisal Services. He is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, the Jackson Association of REALTORS, and the Mississippi Association of REALTORS. He is a licensed real estate broker and real estate appraiser in Mississippi.
Michelle Alexander, MAI, MRICS, is also Director of IRR’s Memphis office and specializes in major urban properties, including apartments, office buildings, and shopping centers. She is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and serves as president for the Memphis chapter of the Appraisal Institute. She is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis.
