CoStar: No bubble in multifamily values, according to Freddie Mac
Despite the increase in multifamily property sales and construction, Freddie Mac reports little change in residential property values over the past year and a moderated rate of appreciation for multifamily properties. Freddie Mac’s chief economist, however, affirms a continued link between housing values and market fundamentals, and states that cap rate compression in the multifamily sector has likely already bottomed.
